The streamer has plans for an animated feature film and TV series based on the children’s fantasy novels. Patrick McHale, creator of Cartoon Network’s autumnal adventure Over the Garden Wall , has been tapped to write a feature based on the first book in the series, Redwall . Netflix will also create a TV series based on the character Martin the Warrior, co-founder of Redwall Abbey. The books, which have sold over 30 million copies worldwide across decades, follow the feats of the mice, moles, badgers, and hares living in Redwall Abbey, surrounded by a forest called the Mossflower Wood. In an Instagram clip posted on Thursday, February 11, Chappelle — who was performing for a live crowd at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas — covered topics like getting COVID-19 in January and the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, before revealing that he’s now been paid for the show by ViacomCBS. “I never asked Comedy Central for anything. On March 1, you’ll be able to watch the life and times of legendary rapper and recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Biggie Smalls in Netflix’s new doc Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell. Netflix has released the trailer for the first official documentary about Christopher George Latore Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G , which features testimonials about the gone-too-soon rapper from friends and collaborators like Diddy and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace. In the trailer, you see home videos of a young Christopher Wallace who caught the writing bug in elementary school, behind-the-scenes shots of Biggie backstage before his shows, and footage of him spitting rhymes on Fulton Street before he changed the rap game forever. “Big had a gift of talent, that saved a lot of people’s lives but his,” remarked a friend of his. The streaming network announced today that Bargatze’s second hour-long Netflix special, titled The Greatest Average American, will premiere on Thursday, March 18. Filmed outdoors at Universal Studios in October 2020, the special is directed by Troy Miller ( Chelsea Handler: Evolution , Brian Regan: On the Rocks ) and features Bargatze covering “being part of the Oregon Trail generation, meeting his wife while working at Applebee’s and the hilariously relatable moments of being a father and husband.” Bargatze’s first Netflix special, The Tennessee Kid , debuted in 2019; prior to that he had a half-hour set on The Standups in 2017.
