The Safdies first cast him in a music video after that Spotted Pig meeting, and they called him again for a role in Uncut Gems’ closing bits. In Uncut Gems, the steel-gray-haired Diamond — his skin a few shades darker than Bradley Cooper’s Star Is Born bronze — ends up playing the “Handsome Older Gentleman” that Howard’s girlfriend, Julia De Fiore (played by Julia Fox), encounters at Mohegan Sun as she’s cashing in on the bet Howard placed. He hits on her a couple times before he helps her smuggle the winnings out of the casino, Arno’s henchman in pursuit. (Diamond says that a couple scenes of his were cut, including an extended sequence in a helicopter: “It was freezing in this fucking $6,000 helicopter that we’re in. A piece of shit that looked like it was gonna crash any second, and I got some guy’s feet in my fucking neck!”) The shoot was fast and loose: “Let’s put it this way,” he says, … [Read more...] about We Cordially Invite You To Meet

"Lorena Bobbitt was part of a group of women—everyone from Hillary Clinton and Monica Lewinsky to Tonya Harding—who were shamed in the 1990s, women who were what I call 'bitchified'—undermined, objectified, and thwarted by a sexist media narrative," Allison Yarrow, author of 90s Bitch: Media, Culture and the Failed Promise of Gender Equality, told NBC News last year. "The abuse of Lorena Bobbitt was ignored in favor of a narrative that celebrated male sexuality and shamed her for being a vengeful perpetrator, instead of shining a light on domestic violence and abuse." … [Read more...] about What You Didn’t Know About the Still Shocking Story of John and Lorena Bobbitt
ID: I would say for sure try to mask, I call it "mask and chill." Apply a treatment mask at least once a week to your hair. You can like sleep in it, you can leave it in all day. One of my favorite hydrating masks that has a ton of nutrients and just like really yummy ingredients for your hair is the Ouidad Ultra Nourishing Intense Hydrating Mask. I normally put it in after I've washed my hair. I'll either braid my hair or I'll let it air dry or I'll wrap it in a bun and just let it be. So you should definitely be masking your hair. … [Read more...] about Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner’s Hairstylist Gives Us the Best Tips for Effortless Hair At-Home
This week sees the start of a new, five-part series, Britain's Best Parent?, presented by Anita, which follows 12 sets of parents with differing parenting styles as they compete over whose style is best. Asked if it was difficult for her to take on a project about parenting, she tells HELLO!: "No, not at all. In fact, I think it would have been harder had I had kids, because I'm not giving any opinion whatsoever. I think everyone has a fascination with parenting, whether you've had them or not, because we've all been parented." … [Read more...] about Countryfile star Anita Rani reveals devastating miscarriage and why she chose to speak about it
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is the story of a mother and daughter that works as a Godfather II–stye prequel and sequel. In one truly breathtaking sequence that really makes no sense at all, Cher — Meryl Streep’s mother, Amanda Seyfried’s grandmother — is suddenly revealed to be Andy García’s ex-lover. Grandma Cher (her character’s name is “Ruby,” but, honestly, whatever) locks eyes with the hotelier. Time stops. Suddenly Trump isn’t president, winter is not coming, my phone isn’t dying. “Mexico! 1959!” García shouts, alluding to the time of their love. (Take note: Their love story is the only suitable prequel to round out this Mamma Mia trilogy.) Cue “Fernando,” fireworks, and the audience’s applause. Reader: Cher has not one wrinkle on her face in this movie, and I can only assume it is because when you are loved by Andy García, you remain untouched by time! … [Read more...] about Are You Ready for the Summer of Thirsting After Andy García?
