Lady Gaga. Photo: Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images Lady Gaga dropping like a spider on a silk string from the rooftop of NRG Stadium all the way down to the turf during last night’s Super Bowl halftime show was certainly impressive, but the stunt wasn’t exactly performed live. If you’ve been wondering how the Mother Monster hit Earth so fast after she pitched herself from the ceiling, it’s because the intro portion in which she sang on the stadium roof had to be prerecorded due to possible weather conditions. A representative for Intel, which provided the drones for the spectacle, told USA Today that despite their resiliency, they chose to play it safe and film ahead of time. Otherwise, the possibility that the Super Bowl halftime show just couldn’t work out because it was raining or a little too windy for 300 drones to properly execute their choreography commands — all while Gaga would simultaneously have to be on that roof singing, before dropping down … [Read more...] about Why You Didn’t See What Happened to Lady Gaga After She Jumped Off the Roof During Her Halftime Show

All the Old Paramount Movies Are Becoming New Paramount+ Shows
Do kids even know what being preppy is anymore? Photo: Paramount/Kobal/Shutterstock The era of streaming TV means never having to say you’re sorry , especially if you’re a corporate overlord mining the IP you already own for ideas. Per The Hollywood Reporter , ViacomCBS is developing a whole bevy of TV series for the newly rebranded Paramount+ based on classic Paramount movies, because why make something new when you can make something vaguely new based on something old. Prince Harry Has Already Cast His Future
Carpool Karaoke has been replaced with English Tea on the 405, with The Late Late Show welcoming a very special guest for last night’s episode: royal detractor Prince Harry , whose old pal James Corden convinced him to spend the day being a Los Angeles tourist on a double-decker bus. A corner pick-up, a cuppa, and a stop at the Fresh Prince mansion (with a virtual Megs!) later, Harry felt comfortable to get candid about how the “toxic” British news media fueled the couple’s decision to leave the royal family, and the melancholic reason why he doesn’t actually mind The Crown too much. “Of course, it’s not strictly accurate. It gives you a rough idea about that lifestyle what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else and what can come from that,” he explained, suggesting that the show should cast Damian Lewis to portray him. (Even if Harry initially thought the guy’s name was Daniel.) “I am way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing … [Read more...] about Prince Harry Has Already Cast His Future
Teaser: Uh-Oh, the Villain Is Hot
Gird your loins, the brand-new teaser for this YA fantasy is equal parts terrifying and … kind of hot? Following the traditions of the Hunger Games and Divergents that came before it, the new Netflix original, based on Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels , centers on a bad-ass heroine and the eye candy she has to deal with on her way to revolution. Meet soldier and orphan Alina Starkov, who unleashes an incredible superpower that could help her set her people free. Alina, played by Jessie Mei Li, is pulled away from her home and sent to train with an elite army of magical soldiers called Grisha, who are battling against the monstrous Shadow Fold. “To destroy it, we need a miracle,” a deceptively charming voice says. The trailer gives fans their first glimpse of Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev, Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman as Inej, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, and Ben Barnes as General Kirigan. The teaser trailer was unveiled during Friday’s IGN Fan Fest at a … [Read more...] about Teaser: Uh-Oh, the Villain Is Hot
