Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro met with Russian foreign secretary Sergei Lavrov and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Maduro, who made a surprise appearance at the meeting after previously expressing concerns over his security, held meetings with the some of the few countries still supportive of his regime.
