Three kids die, buried under sand Three kids yesterday afternoon died after sinking into a sand area at a construction site in the southern city of Can Tho. Nguyen Thanh Huy, Nguyen Hoang Thai, both 9 years old, third graders and 10-year-old Nguyen Van Dat, died after they played near a construction site in Thoi Thuan Ward, Thot Not district. A barge was pumping sand to the site and when the three walked in and sank. Workers discovered and feverously dug up the area but it was too late. Right after that, the barge owner and workers fled.
